SOCHEATTA MENG

Socheatta Meng (she/her) is Co-coordinator for the Southeast Asian Relief & Responsibility Act Campaign and Director at the Southeast Asian Defense Project. She and her family arrived in the US as refugees from Cambodia in the early 1980s. Socheatta has fifteen years of experience in working for more just immigration, criminal legal, and economic systems through policy advocacy and organizing. She previously worked at the New York City Council and the New York affiliate of the ACLU; and is a graduate of the University of Chicago, King’s College London, and Brooklyn Law School.
